RULES GOVERNING EXHIBITS AND INSTRUCTIONS TO EXHIBITORS AT THE 2010 SHOW

The Show shall have the right to order the removal of any animal they consider dangerous and will not be responsible for any injury or damage caused by such animals. All animals and exhibits are shown at the owners risk. The Society will not be accountable for any damage caused to or loss of exhibits. Prizes will be awarded in all classes where there is sufficient merit, but the judges will be distinctly instructed withhold a prize where there is insufficient merit. All prizes disallowed or not awarded shall lapse to the Society. OBJECTIONS: All objections to the decision of the judges must be lodged with the Secretary, in writing, accompanied by a fee of €20.00 not later than 2pm on the day of the show. 

The fee or fees so lodged will be forfeited in case the objections are considered frivolous. ENTRIES:  Will NOT be accepted unless accompanied by requisite fee/s The Society reserve the right to decline acceptance of entry/s or returning any entry or exhibit without incurring any liability. Any person i.e. visitor or exhibitor, found interfering with any exhibit other than his own will be asked to leave the grounds and will be disqualified from competing at this or future Shows of the Society. The award of a Rosette or Prize-card does not imply that the entry is entitled to Prize money.

No refund of entry fee in any class or jumping competition will be made in the case of entries which are not sent forward for competition or which are disqualified for failure to comply with regulations. In case it shall be proved to the satisfaction of the society that the owner of exhibits has been found guilty of any violation of the rules of the society, or has been found guilty of any practice calculated to deceive or mislead, or has made a false statement in the certificate of entry, so as to secure and unfair advantage, the exhibitor shall forfeit all prizes awarded him at the show, together will all fees paid by him, and shall be liable to be excluded from this or any future Show of the Society. The Society reserve the right to cancel Class(es) due to insufficient entries. No Prize-money Awarded where only one entry has been received from the exhibitor. All Stock must be the property of the Exhibitors. Intending exhibitors are advised to ensure that their public liability policy covers the exhibition of livestock at public shows.

Moate Agricultural Show will operate a code of Safety Practice to ensure that animals are confined to designated areas and kept under supervision at all times

It is essential that visitors share safety responsibility and that they respond by playing their part in keeping children at a safe distance from all animals and machinery

Total commitment to safety from competitors, exhibitors and visitors, and co-operation with the Stewards will ensure that there is no accident or mishap to spoil the enjoyment and the success of the Show

Whilst every care is taken in the organisation of Moate Agricultural Show, the society cannot accept any liability whatsoever for any accident, injury or loss of sustained by any person attending the Show in any capacity, however caused.
